Our Staff
The most important people as far as your children are concerned are our staff, who are all dedicated and caring, with a wealth of experience.
All members of staff are qualified in Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding trained.
Willow Bank Pre-School ensures that either the Manager or a Deputy is present during each session, supported by at least three other members of staff.
We try and keep the adult - child ratio of 1:7 (Ofsted requires a staff : child ratio of 1:8.)

Emma Poole
My name is Emma, and I am the Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
I have been working in Willow Bank Pre-School since September 2013 and have a HNC (higher national certificate-level 4) in Early years Childcare.
I have 2 active boys and a dog called Lily. I enjoy working with children and can’t wait to welcome you and your child to pre-school.
A few of my favourite things are:-
Colour- Purple
Books- I like reading books to my two sons – David Walliams is a favourite
Food- All Cuisines
Hobbies- Running, Gym, spending time outdoors with two active boys,

Amber Robertson
My name is Amber and I am the Deputy Manager. I am the Deputy SENCO and Deputy Safeguarding.
I have been in childcare since 2014 and hold a NVQ Level 4 in Early Years.
I have one little boy and a cat called Kovu. I enjoy working with children and helping them grow and develop.
A few favourite things are:
Colour: Orange
Books: Room on the Broom and Gruffalo
Food: I love all foods
Hobbies: Cooking, Cleaning and Spending time with my family.

My Name is Vanessa Gatherer, I started my career in childcare working as a childminder. I have been working at Willowbank Preschool since April 2016. I am the Language Lead at Preschool
I have an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare.
I have 4 children of my own, 2 girls and 2 boys. I really enjoy working with children and can’t wait to welcome you and your child to preschool.
Few of my favourite thing are:-
Colour- Blue.
Books- Harry Potter!
Food- I am a vegetarian. I love tapas.
Hobbies- Running, web design, watching movies, going on days out, spending time with my children.
My name is Kuldeep, I have been working in Willow Bank Pre-School since 2011, and I am the Lead First Aider at Pre-School.
I have an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Early Year Childcare.
I have 2 girls of my own. I enjoy working with children and can’t wait to welcome you and your child to pre-school.

My name is Eliza. I have been working at Willow Bank Pre-School since 2014 and have an NVQ3 qualification in Early Years Childcare.

My name is Kaye. I have been working at Willow Bank pre-school from September 2005 years and have an NVQ2 qualification in Early Years Childcare. I am the Lead Health and Safety Officer at pre-school.
I have one boy. I enjoy working with children and can’t wait to welcome you and your child to pre-school.

My name is Bianca. I have been working at Willow Bank Pre-School form 2013 when I started as an apprentice. I have a Level 2 in Early Years and Childcare. I am the Equal Opportunities Lead at pre-school.
I have 2 cheeky little boys. I enjoy working with children and can’t wait to welcome you and your child to pre-school.

Colour- I love most colours (except purple)
Books- I would prefer to watch a film, my all-time favourite is The Lion King.

My name is Diane. I have been working at Willow Bank Pre-School for over 20 years. I am the Food Hygiene and Safety Officer at Pre-school.
I have 3 boys and 2 grandsons. I enjoy working with children and can’t wait to welcome you and your child to pre-school.

My name is Nicky. I started working as a lunchtime controller and now work in the preschool as an Early Years Practitioner. I have a Level 3 Qualification in Early Years and childcare.
I have 2 children, a boy and a girl, who both attended this pre-school. I enjoy working with children and can’t wait to join you and your child for their time at pre-school.
A few of my favourite things are:-

Books- I am currently reading through the Harry Potter collection with my 9 year old and anything by Julia Donaldson is good with the 5 year old.
Food- Any!! But I do love a bit of cake.
Hobbies- I love being with my family going on walks, bike rides, going on holidays, any spare time I have I like sewing, knitting, baking and generally anything arty.

My name is Tracey and I am a Early Years Practitioner holding a NVQ Level 3.
I have been in childcare since 1993 childminding from my own home before moving into a childcare setting.
I have one daughter, one son and help look after my grandson.
